The present catalogue comprises data on 497 acknowledged species/subspecies belonging to 88 genera, of which 5 species are new to the Moldovian list. The book is designed as a traditional catalogue, containing a lot of new data based on the authors` long-term studies. Yet it is distinguished by incorporation of pertinent material, taxonomic notes, altitudinal and geographical distributions, phenology as well as over 125 references relevant to the area concerned.
