The catalogue encompasses all available data on 1158 species of ground beetles belonging to 176 genera hitherto known from the Iberian Peninsula. The book is divided into catalogue properly said, the references, a proposal of nomenclatorial change, the taxonomic index, the list of new taxa for the Iberian fauna, an abbreviated list of systematics used in the catalogue. There are also a statistical table with numbers of species per genera and in total, two maps of the Iberian peninsula, one based on the natural regions, and second one based on the administrative provinces of Spain and districts of Portigal.
