The Anthaxia (Anthaxia) funerula (Illiger, 1803) is revised and 11 new species and four new subspecies are described and illustrated. New combination and new statuses are suggested, 5 new synonyms are proposed and lectotypes are designated for 5 species. All species of the group are illustrated and keyed and all available bionomical and distributional data are presented as well as the list of all specimens studied. A short catalogue of the species is included.
